DCPZ Educator Workshop: “Analyzing Complex Images with the Library of Congress”
October 20, 2021 @ 4:15 pm - 5:45 pm EDT
Join us for an engaging 90-minute webinar with Library of Congress (LOC) education experts. Participants will learn about and apply Project Zero Thinking Routines for analyzing primary sources that are particularly rich and complex in visual detail.
When working with such images, how can we help students notice and examine details that may otherwise go unnoticed? And how can we help them relate these details to one another, in order to arrive at a fuller understanding of the whole? We’ll practice these strategies together and reflect on how they can be applied in your educational setting.
Additionally, presenters will share tips for finding resources in the Library’s vast collections by navigating www.loc.gov and effectively using the Library’s search engine.

This workshop will be capped at 50 participants.
Registrants will receive the Zoom link before the workshop. Please direct questions to Abby Krolik ([email protected]).
